Nike Named as Presenting Partner NBA Mexico City Games

The National Basketball Association (NBA) and Nike announced today an expansion of their existing partnership that will make the league’s official oncourt apparel provider the presenting partner of The NBA Mexico City Games for the third consecutive season.

The NBA Mexico City Games 2019 presented by Nike will feature, for the first time – four NBA teams playing two regular-season games at the Arena Ciudad de Mexico in Mexico City. The Dallas Mavericks and Detroit Pistons will play on Thursday, Dec. 12 and the San Antonio Spurs will take on the Phoenix Suns on Saturday, Dec. 14. The games will mark the 29th and 30th games in Mexico since 1992, the most NBA games held in any country outside the United States and Canada. It will also be the fourth consecutive season the NBA will play two regular-season games in Mexico City.

The games will be broadcast live on ESPN Deportes, Televisa and NBA League Pass in Mexico, and will reach fans in more than 200 countries and territories.

“We are excited to once again partner with Nike to bring two regular-season NBA games to our passionate Mexican fans this December,” said NBA Mexico Vice President and Managing Director Raul Zarraga. “Together with Nike, we will work to provide our fans in Mexico with an authentic NBA experience that will showcase four great teams and reinforce our commitment to growing basketball across the country.”

In addition to being the presenting partner of The NBA Mexico City Games 2019, Nike will receive prominent brand exposure, including event logo inclusion, in-arena activations, and signage.
