In 1992, Mercer, played by Tyrese Gibson, is struggling to rebuild his life and relationship with his son, portrayed by Christopher A’mmanuel, during the turbulent LA uprising following the Rodney King verdict. Across town, another father and son, played by Ray Liotta and Scott Eastwood, test their strained relationship by plotting a dangerous heist to steal catalytic converters from the factory where Mercer works. As tensions rise and chaos erupts in Los Angeles, both families collide in this tense crime-thriller.
