Music legend Patti LaBelle is set to bring her 80/65 Tour to the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC), celebrating 65 years in the industry at 80 years old.
Known as the “godmother of soul,” LaBelle will take the stage to perform her chart-topping hits. Her career began as the lead singer of Patti LaBelle and the Bluebelles, later rebranded as Labelle, the group behind the disco anthem “Lady Marmalade.”
As a solo artist, LaBelle has captivated audiences with hits such as “On My Own,” “If You Asked Me To,” “Stir It Up,” “You Are My Friend,” “If Only You Knew,” and “Love, Need and Want You.”
With more than 50 million records sold worldwide, LaBelle has earned numerous accolades, including inductions into the Grammy Hall of Fame, the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and the Apollo Hall of Fame. Rolling Stone also named her one of the “100 Greatest Singers.”
