Roku, Lionsgate, and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson are launching the 50 Cent Action Channel, a free streaming service debuting Dec. 10 on The Roku Channel.
The channel will feature hit films like The Expendables, The Hitman’s Bodyguard, and Rambo, along with 50 Cent’s movies, the TV series Power, and behind-the-scenes content. Lionsgate will also offer themed programming inspired by Jackson’s albums, including heist films tied to Get Rich or Die Tryin’ and female-led action movies linked to I Like The Way She Do It.
“We’re excited to collaborate with our longstanding partner Lionsgate and Curtis ‘50 Cent’ Jackson on this innovative channel,” said Jennifer Vaux, Vice President of Content Acquisition & Programming at Roku Media.
Jackson praised the partnership: “Roku’s reach and success in the free TV space make them the perfect launch partner for 50 Cent Action. My channel, created in partnership with Lionsgate, will deliver exactly what my audience loves to watch all in one place. We’ll be number one in no time.”
Lionsgate’s Jim Packer said the collaboration will make the channel stand out in the competitive streaming market.
The 50 Cent Action Channel aims to appeal to Jackson’s fans and action lovers while creating new advertising opportunities.
