According to Forbes recent profile, singer Rihanna is officially the richest female musician in the world. This means that her net worth has surpassed musical icons such as Beyonce, Mariah Carey, and Celine Dion.
The Barbadian singer, born Robyn Rihanna Fenty, is reported to have obtained $600 million through her makeup and fashion endeavors. This includes her lingerie line, Fenty Savage lingerie and her makeup line, Fenty Beauty. After launching in 2017, Fenty Beauty made an estimated $100 million in sales at Sephora within its first couple of weeks.
The superstar is expected to be the first woman to produce an original clothing brand at the French luxury fashion house, LVMH. This will also make her the first black woman to head a major line.
The news of Rihanna’s status comes right after her mentor Jay-Z, was announced as hip-hop’s first billionaire.
