In a Hollywood world drowning in quick flings, Swizz Beats and Alicia Keys are among the few couples showing us that real love can last, after celebrating eight years on marriage on Tuesday.
The Deans tied the knot in Corsica in a private home surrounded by a small group of friends and family, including Queen Latifah and other A-listers. Their mutual friend author Dr. Deepak Chopra was the officiator of the nuptials.
At the time, Keys was pregnant with their first born child Egypt Daoud Ibarr Dean, who is now seven years old. Their second child, Genesis Ali Dean, was born four years later.
As part of their eight year celebration, the couple posted heartfelt messages to one another on Instagram. The Grammy-Award winning singer writes:
“@therealswizzz Cheers to 8 year my love!!!! WOW! US! This LOVE!!! So amazing!! So infinite! So powerful! So electric!! It’s been the best 8 years of my LIFE!! I can only imagine the greatness the future holds!! Thank you for showing me what life is, what love is, what dreams are in infinite and endless awe and love!!!”
The hit-making producer and Havard graduate shared a picture of the two on their first anniversary with the caption: “This was our 1st Anniversary pic 8yrs ago today wow. I look crazy as hell but you look great as always #happyanniversary #8.”
