According to reports, Patrick Xavier Clark, the man charged with the murder of Migos member Takeoff (real name: Kirsnick Khari Bell), has been released on $1 million dollar bail.
This follows a failed attempt by Clark’s family and friends to have his bail lowered to $300,000.
The alleged killer’s attorney Letitia Quinones has said the November 1st shooting at Houston’s 810 Billiards & Bowling was an act of self-defense after an argument between Takeoff’s uncle and fellow Migos member Quavo and others.
However, members of Houston law enforcement have consistently stated that Takeoff was not involved in the altercation that took place immediately preceding the shooting and he was an innocent bystander.
“Neither Patrick nor his family posted the bond in this case. A concerned citizen and family friend who believes in Patrick’s innocence posted the bond on his behalf. Like any other defendant, Patrick is presumed to be innocent and has the right to bond. He also has an obligation to comply with all the terms the court has laid out. He intends to comply fully and will appear for proceedings whenever the court requires him to do so. We believe Patrick is innocent and at the appropriate time, the evidence will reveal that to be the case.”- Quinones
Patrick Xavier Clark’s next court appearance has been schedule for March 9th.
In related news, Quavo has released an heartfelt tribute to his fallen nephew entitled “Without You.”
