Renowned hip-hop artist Pras Michel, a member of the iconic group The Fugees, is reportedly considering pursuing legal action against rapper 50 Cent, professional basketball player Kyrie Irving, and prominent music publication Rolling Stone.

Pras alleges various grievances against the three entities and aims to seek legal redress for the perceived wrongdoing caused by a Rolling Stone article that reportedly publicized allegations he was an FBI informant.Pras intends to hold Rolling Stone accountable for what he perceives as a deliberate and unfair portrayal of his legacy.

Erica Dumas, Pras’ spokesperson, also wrote an email to the Los Angeles Times saying, “The Rolling Stone article resulted in the false and defamatory label being made in hundreds of viral local, national, and international media news stories and blog posts that have harmed the business interests, reputations … of Pras and attorney Kenner.”

According to recent reports, Jonathan Noah Schwartz, Pras’ attorney, has attempted to send correspondence to 50 Cent and Kyle Irving regarding social media posts each made based on the allegation.

“Labeling a hip-hop artist such as Michel, the reputation of whom is dependent upon ‘street credibility’ and not being a ‘snitch,’ a ‘government informant’ most certainly tends to subject said hip-hop artist to hatred, distrust, ridicule, contempt and/or disgrace, along with injury in their trade or profession,” explained Schwartz in his letter to Rolling Stone.

In response to the allegations, representatives for 50 Cent, Kyrie Irving, and Rolling Stone have not yet issued public statements. It remains to be seen how they will address Pras’ legal threats and whether they will attempt to resolve the disputes through negotiations or face the accusations in a court of law.
