The World-Famous Harlem Globetrotters are excited to announce a special HBCU Homecoming event during their Spread Game tour stop in Atlanta, Georgia. Celebrating the influence, culture and legacy of historically Black colleges and universities, and Black Greek organizations, HBCU Homecoming will take place on Saturday, July 25th at 3:00 p.m. at State Farm Arena. Discounted tickets for the game are available for HBCU alumni, family, and friends.
Curated to showcase Black excellence through HBCUs, Black organizations and Black Greek life, the event will give The Harlem Globetrotters an opportunity to Spread Game, support the HBCU community and cultivate a new generation of fans. During this reimagined Spread Game tour, fans will get to witness where basketball culture meets comedy culture on the court. The Harlem Globetrotters will continue to shape Black excellence, having incorporated many new show elements inspired and created by HBCU alumni from across the nation.
“As a melting pot for HBCU graduates from around the country, it was fitting that we celebrate the Black college experience right here in Atlanta,” said Sunni Hickman, Harlem Globetrotters vice president of marketing. “I am a proud graduate of Clark Atlanta University. As such, I always feel part of an exclusive family, made up of people who share a common bond around the rich, meaningful and long-lasting experiences only possible at an HBCU.”
HBCU Homecoming will feature fan experiences at the Globertrotters’ game including a live DJ, and player meet and greet. Guests are strongly encouraged to arrive early and wear their HBCU and Black Greek organization gear to show their HBCU pride.
To take advantage of the HBCU alumni, family, and friends discount, use the Code “HBCU,” to receive 20% off the original ticket price. Tickets are subject to availability and early purchase is strongly suggested.
