The Lincoln Project underlined the significance of the recent conviction of former President Donald Trump in its latest video, stressing that the jury of his peers.
The YouTube video emphasizes that President Joe Biden and the Democratic Party had no influence on the jury’s verdict; rather, the verdict was made exclusively based on the evidence that was presented during the trial.
After more than nine hours of deliberations over two days, the Manhattan jury found him guilty of falsifying business records. The case stemmed from a hush money payment to porn actor Stormy Daniels during his 2016 presidential campaign.
The Lincoln Project organization, a prominent pro-democracy group in the United States, reiterated its commitment to defending democracy. “Our fight against Trumpism is only beginning. We must combat these forces everywhere and at all times — our democracy depends on it.”
