Today, the NBA will tip off league-wide celebrations honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
NBA teams playing Jan. 17–21 will wear custom Nike MLK Day warmup shirts designed in collaboration with the MLK Foundation and Martin Luther King III. The Dri-FIT T-shirt features MLK’s timeless words from his speech on Aug. 28, 1963: “I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: ‘We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.’”
