Gossip/news site TMZ is reporting they have text messages where the R&B singer Tory Lanez appears to reaches out to top-charting female rapper Megan Thee Stallion to apologize for allegedly shooting her July 12th, blaming it on “drinking too much”.
According to TMZ, Tory wrote “I know u prolly never gone talk to me again, but I genuinely want u to know I’m sorry from the bottom of my heart.”
At no point in the texts, does he mention the gun or the shooting incident in the Hollywood Hills directly. However, it’s clear that he acknowledged responsibility for something bad that occured.
Since the shooting, Megan’s integrity and credibility has been attack in what she believes to be a coordinated public relations strategy of misinformation.
The weird and ill-conceived theories being spread to justify the shooting on social media and salacious blogs include Megan allegedly being violent in the past and their difference in height.
At press time, Tory Lanez currently faces a weapons charge though the incident is still under investigation.
