Drake connected with UK’s rap channel Link Up TV to drop his “Behind Barz” freestyle. People speculate the rapper used the moment to take more jabs at G.O.O.D. Music artists’ Pusha T and Kanye West.
To start the Canadian rapper notes he is still withholding information that can allegedly be detrimental to the some of his peers’ careers and eludes to pointless stones being cast his way by another person: “Got all the tea and I’m hottin’ it up/I need a shade mansion, a room’s not enough/You’re droppin’ some shit but that shit was a bust.”
In Pusha’s “Story of Adidon” he reveals Drake’s hidden son. However, in “Emotionless” Drake shares he was protecting his son from the world, not hiding him— Drake’s confession only falsifying Pusha’s claims.
The Link Up TV freestyle’s second verse attacks someone who has personally reached out to the OVO CEO: “They wanna link when they got no chunes/They too worried about sellin’ out shoes/ I don’t give a fuck about jeans or crep/Or going to Milan or going to the Met.”
Aside from his discography, Kanye is known for his million-dollar grossing fashion company Yeezy, as well as, his outlandish Met galas appearances with wife Kim Kardashian.
Though Drake never drops a name, there is no need to. The rapper is soaring in classic Drake style. Scorpion surpassed all expectations when it received over one billion streams in the first week of its release. The two-sided album is packed with top-charting hits like “Nice For What’, “God’s Plan” and “I’m Upset.” No matter what his fans always have his back.
