It’s no secret that these guys are not remotely friends but Sergio Garcia took his feud with Tiger Woods to a new low.
According to reports, when asked about the legendary black biracial golfer, Garcia allegedly replied with the following.
“We will have him round every night. We will serve fried chicken.”
He later characterized the remark as silly and didn’t mean for it be taken in racist manner. “I apologize for any offense that may have been caused by my comment on stage during The European Tour Players’ Awards dinner. I answered a question that was clearly made towards me as a joke with a silly remark, but in no way was the comment meant in a racist manner.”
Tiger Woods responded in a tactful yet direct manner that clearly shows his position on the comment via Twitter.
“The comment that was made wasn’t silly. It was wrong, hurtful and clearly inappropriate…”
